The Hub, Hua Hin – June Update

Another month has flashed by, seemingly in the blink of an eye, and now there are just two more months until the Co-study participants begin their occupancy on 1^st September. The building works on the lower floor and the software are now tantalisingly close to full completion, as the external paintwork and parking align the entire building’s visual appeal with the architect’s vision, as seen on the promotional banners.

The Hub’s ground floor “showroom” is taking on it’s long-term roll as The Hub’s reception area, now fitted out with window coverings, a modern, sleek reception desk and the computer technology and software to make checking in at The Hub a breeze for all Hub members, whether they are Co-study or Co-working participants. Henrik and Sjoerd have already installed the initial bank of lockers to ensure the security of participants’ belongings.

Contracts have been signed for three members of the Co-study staff, the SAS (Student Activity Supervisor), a highly qualified and experienced teacher of international students, and two employees with the title of SAA (Student Activity Assistant), both recent graduates of a local international school, one of Thai/Russian heritage, the other Thai/American. The Hub is confident the recent experience of these employees with the Wolsey Hall curriculum will be a tremendous asset and resource for Co-study participants. There has been significant local, national and international interest from teachers keen to join The Hub team as student registration climbs, so two more qualified teachers are now on an approved staff waiting list.

The Hub is very keen to announce the names of the members of the Co-study staff team because it is aware that some parents are awaiting this information to finalise their decision-making in relation to the new scholastic year, however Henrik is still awaiting the formal paperwork for the Board of Investment company which will ensure The Hub has the highest level of Thai government approval, prior to making that announcement. Please be patient just a little longer!

The indoor, air-conditioned lunchroom of 100m² is finished, ensuring Hub members will have both alfresco and temperature-controlled options for their midday meals. Progress has been made in the Co-working space as well, with all flooring work complete and the ceiling installed. Occupancy of this space is now expected from 1^st October, as The Hub has significant fit out work to be done by its own contracted team after the building owner’s work is finished. Three of the five private suites have been rented out, so if you are keen to have your business relocate to The Hub’s convenient, central location, you will need to move quickly to secure your spot on the 2^nd floor. All registration is easily and conveniently available on The Hub Hua Hin app, which is available for download in all the usual places.

The Hub is also pleased to announce that it has secured the services of a Thai language teacher who will be working with Co-study participants as well as conducting workshops for their parents. She will also be available at The Hub for private lessons, and Co-workers will also be able to avail themselves of her language skills, if needed, at a very reasonable cost.
